Hello Girls,

Today I’m going to activate you and make a pitch for giving your hair and complexion rest and a little bit of respite.

Give the much-needed relief not only to your face parts since your entire body also deserves it!

I’m going to talk you into slowing the pace of life you lead and gift yourself with slow weekend – which is two days (or at least just one!) of total relaxation and complete regeneration.

There is nothing that rejuvenates better than rest. Therefore, after a week full of rush, I command you to slow down the pace. Thanks to this, not only yourself, but also your complexion, body and hair will feel the difference. I bet you’ve already heard about the philosophy of slow life or recently popular Danish art of happiness called hygge. If not, then my dear readers google it! Necessarily!

Once you learn about this trend, mount a care hygge to your hair and skin. I hope you’ll find my ideas for home face and hair masks and treatments useful! Ready? Steady? Go!

1. Hair has to be strong and beautiful -Aloe and Avocado Hair Mask

The greatest thing about the mask I’m going to tell you about is the fact that you can apply it directly to the scalp. Actually, you can prepare it in two ways: by mixing all the ingredients with your favourite natural oil, or treat the hair with the oil-free mask (keep the mask 20-40 minutes) and follow with regular hair oil treatment at the evening or an another day. The hair mask is good at making hair strong, it regenerates the scalp, delivers moisture and gloss to the strands as it helps with boosting hair volume.

The recipe:

  • a half of a banana
  • a half of an avocado
  • a few drops of your favourite natural oil
  • approximately two teaspoons of natural yoghurt

Mix the ingredients. Remember that the fruits have to be precisely smashed so as to obtain a smooth mass. Once the mask is ready I let it sit for 20-40 minutes, rinse and wash the hair.

2. Face has to be relaxed and fresh – Skin Relaxing and Regenerating Mask

Definitely, banana and natural face oils rule this weekend. The face mask described below is bound to nourish skin, restore the healthy shade and tone up the fatigued complexion.

Depending on the oils you use, you can expect a different effect to be produced. For example, argan oil delivers rejuvenating action whereas jojoba oil acts soothing and balances sebum production. Aloe juice that the recipe includes is recommended mostly for people having problematic skin. For that reason, this ingredient isn’t obligatory, you can use it optionally.

The recipe:

  • a half of a banana,
  • 1 spoon of cocoa,
  • a half of a tea spoon of aloe juice (optional),
  • a few drops either of jojoba or argan oil.

Blend all the ingredients until a smooth mass obtained. Apply it onto your face and let it sit 15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water afterwards. Finish with putting on your favourite face cream.

3. Skin pores have to remain invisible – Home Cleansing Pads

Instead of using the ready-made carbon pads you can prepare your own pads to cleanse skin pores and remove blackheads. When it comes to me, before performing the home pads treatment, I take a steam bath so as to open the skin pores. I just put a spoon of chamomile into a bowl, cover it with boiling water and put a towel onto my head and lean towards the bowl. The towel makes it more difficult for the steam to run away. Thanks to this procedure, my face is at the sauna 😉

Once my face is ready, I reach for a brush to apply a whisked egg onto the skin and I put the pads of damp tissues on the face, let them sit two hours so as to make the pads dry. Actually, you can cut the tissues earlier so as to shape them to fit the particular face parts that you want to left blackhead-free.

And the last piece of advice concerning your hygge weekend: take a rest! While having the masks applied, reach for a good book, watch a movie, listen to the music, prepare aromatic tea and enjoy the moments devoted to you only. Once the weekend is over, you’ll get back to your everyday activities charged with positive energy, vim and vigor. And you’ll be beautiful! Enjoy your slow weekend!
