It often happens that after winter, the skin looks horrible – it is dry, dull and tired. There are many factors that have an influence on the condition of your skin, for instance, diet (too much fat and not enough vitamins), heating (air-condition or radiators). Luckily, there are some ways to improve the situation. I rely on them every year and they have never disappointed me. Here they are – my methods to prep the skin for spring.

How to prepare the face for spring – my methods: thorough face cleansing

I usually start with exfoliating dead skin cells, which gives my skin a smoother and more vivid colour. I repeat it every 5 days. Remember to adjust its type to the type of your complexion. I choose a coarse peel because I have oily skin with a tendency to seborrhoea (this peeling can also be done by those of you who have normal and combination complexion). I apply the scrub to wet skin, massage it and rinse with water. Then, I must use a toner. Moreover, if you have dry and sensitive skin, choose an enzyme peel.

How to prepare the face for spring – my methods: intensive skin nourishment

I love the serum and face masks that accelerate spring skin regeneration. The masks contain concentrated, powerful nutrients and moisturizers adapted to the problem and complexion type. That’s why you only need to apply them once a week, after thorough face wash and exfoliation. It is best to apply the mask in the evening, which will support the regeneration processes that work most intensively during the night.
In turn, the serum contains a lot of nutrients and moisturizers. I precede it with the use of a cream for the day, but it is also acceptable to use the serum for the night.

How to prepare the face skin before spring – my methods: day-to-day face protection against impurities

The face cream will be best suitable for this task. After winter, the skin needs to be nourished, which is why my creams contain:

  • vitamins A, C and E,
  • d-panthenol or allantoin, which provides the skin with elasticity and soothes irritation,
  • Coenzyme Q10, which improves skin elasticity and restores its nice colour, and in combination with vitamin C, it has a strong oxygen effect,
  • moisturizing substances, such as hyaluronic acid, silk proteins or glycerin,
  • oils, mainly argan, macadamia and avocado, which retain moisture in the epidermis and provide many vitamins and fatty acids.

What’s more, I use rich and intensely nourishing creams for the night.
